Dear Parents and Families,
This upcoming Friday brings a close to the 2nd nine weeks, and report cards will be issued Friday, January 25th. I cannot believe we are approaching our 3rd nine weeks, but I am thrilled at the progress your student is making. Looking ahead to next week, we will end of unit on Colonization with a test on Wednesday. We ended our rocks and minerals unit in Science and today I sent home information regarding the rock project I assigned that is due next Friday, January 25th. This is a test grade and there is a written component to the project that I am sending home both in paper and electronically through email. This project is an enjoyable learning experience for the students and I am always amazed at the creativity I see! Just a reminder that Monday is a school holiday in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King. I also wanted to inform you all that Wednesday and Thursday of next week I will be out of the classroom. I will be at a professional development training with our district will be back on Friday. Have a great weekend and I look forward to another great week here at LCEU!
