Weekly Update for November 24th and 25th, 2020

Dear Parents and Families,

Happy Friday!  What a great week we had in room C115!  I have been working with students individually this week and I am quite impressed at the work ethic and perserverance I have witnessed with each and every student.  As their teacher, I am so very thankful they have each made a choice to make their education a priority.  We will do great things this year, of this I am certain!  Looking ahead to next week, the district announced that Monday and Tuesday of next week (the 23rd and 24th) will be virtual learning days from home.  I will begin teaching each day at 9.m. Students may begin earlier as they will have independent work they can access through our Google Classroom.  We will be done roughly each day by 2:15 and will have a break for lunch and recess from 11:30-12:15.  School will be out for observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday beginning Wednesday until Friday.  School will resume in person on November 30th.  While I will miss being in the classroom with the students, I promise to make next week's virtual days fun and as stress free as possible. Have a great weekend!

Sincerely

Mrs. Dina Knight

Weekly Update for November 16th-20th, 2020

Dear Parents and Families,
Happy Friday!  This week was our first full week and we are totally getting the hang of school with social distancing measures. I have included pictures from our week back, the students are already making some very special friendships.  Today in your students backpack, you will find 2 important pieces of information, a picture form and report card.  Fall pictures will be next Tuesday, November 17th.  The order form needs to be returned no later than Tuesday.  Report cards came home and do not need to be returned. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am looking forward to another full week of teaching and learning next week, with Friday being anohter half day dismissal.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Dina Knight

Weekly Update for November 9th-13th, 2020

 Dear Parents and Families,

Happy Friday!  We had a great first week back in the classroom.  The students quickly picked up our procedures to navigate around the pandemic and I am so proud of them!   Way to go kiddos! Just a few reminders, please have your student charge their device over the weekend so it can be ready for Monday morning.  Also, if your student would like to bring in a snack, they may do so and eat it during our recess time at 11:30.   Looking ahead to next week, next Friday, November 13th will be our first half day dismissal. Students will be dismissed at 11:30.  Lunch will be served, but on a much earlier schedule.  I am looking forward to a full week next week, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely

Mrs. Dina Knight
