Dear Parents and Families,
Happy Friday! Can you say Brrrrrrr! Between the constant rain and frigid temperatures, indoor recess 4 straight days has made the week a bit WILD to say the least. Looking ahead to next week, I wanted to let everyone know that I will be out of the classroom from Wednesday afternoon until Friday. I will be attending a conference in Savannah with one of our assistant principals, Mrs. Chandler-Smith. A veteran substitute will be filling in for me while I am away, so I am certain the class will be in good hands. I will be giving the students a quiz on water features and land forms before I leave to wrap up our unit in science. I hope you all have a great weekend and I look forward to another great week here at LCEU!
Sincerely
Mrs. Dina Knight

Weekly Update for February 17th-21st, 2020
Dear Parents and Families,
Happy Valentine's Day! Our classroom was filled with excitement, laughter and a whole lot of love! The students and I had a wonderful time with our valentine exchange and craft. I apologize in advance for sending them home with so much candy but the positive is that they have an extra day off next week to indulge their sweet tooth! Monday, February 17th is a school holiday in observance of President's Day, making next week a short week. Coming home today are Communication folders. In them you will find the week's grades along with a picture package. If you are not interested in purchasing the picture, just send them back in the folder on Tuesday. I hope you all enjoy the long weekend and thank you so much for sharing your student with me. Each one of them brings so much love and joy to my life, I am truly blessed.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Dina Knight

Dear Parents and Families,
Happy Friday! I am currently writing my blog from home due to my son having
the flu. I hope to return by Monday. Looking ahead to next week, we have a half
day dismissal on Friday, February 14th. Our class is going to exchange Valentines
on Friday. I have a list of names above of every student in our class. The only thing
I ask it that if your child does plan to bring Valentines, that he/she bring one for
everyone. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I pray you stay well and warm!
