Dear Parents and Families,
Happy Friday! I hope you all had a wonderful week and have enjoyed the cooler temperatures on this beautiful Friday. This week the students and I jumped right into curriculum and I understand this can be a bit overwhelming for them and yourselves. Please know I have strategies and procedures in place to help support them be organized and successful. One strategy that we have focused on this week is using the Agenda books in our binders to organizer homework assignments and upcoming quizzes and tests. Your student had already recorded their math quiz on Tuesday and geography quiz on Thursday in attempts to give plenty of time for studying. For the math quiz, students can prepare by looking over past homework and classwork that is in their binder. To prepare for their geography quiz, students may look over notes and maps that are located in their binder and social studies interactive notebooks. Thanks in advance for working with me to help your student be as successful as possible. Have a great long weekend and I look forward to seeing your students on Tuesday.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Dina Knight

Weekly Update for August 26th-30th, 2019
Dear Parents and Families,
We had a great week at school and I am so excited to have the opportunity to help your student grow in a multitude of ways. This week we worked on classroom and school procedures as well as building our classroom community and culture to be strong and positive. Next week we will dive right into 3rd grade curriculum so be sure to check my blog and your student's agenda to see homework and school assignment information. Today your student's communication folder went home in their bookbags. The folder is green and labeled communication folder in gold lettering. Inside are forms that parents and families need to sign and return to school. There is even information regarding your student bringing in a photo of himself/herself to display on our 3rd grade hallway bulletin board. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely
Mrs. Dina Knight
