Weekly Update for Jan. 7th-11th, 2019

Dear Parents,

This is my last blog post of the year, and I cannot believe how fast the end of the year has come!  I am looking forward to the upcoming 2019 year and the opportunity to grow alongside your student.  I want to thank each of you for sharing your student with me and for your unwavering support. I truly love teaching and the opportunities my profession brings to work with such amazing children and parents. I wish you all  a Merry Christmas!  Enjoy the Winter Break.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Dina Knight

Weekly Update for the week of Dec. 17th-21st, 2018

Dear Parents and Families,
The final week before Winter Break is upon us!  Next week will be a fun week of learning, I have several activities planned that I want to inform you of.  We will be making edible rocks next week to reinforce our rocks and minerals unit and we will also have a Read-In  on Thursday (which is now a full day of school).  Students can wear their Pj's and bring in blankets, pillows and stuffed animals to hibernate with a good book. We have an author visiting along with our PTO winter celebration. Thursday is a busy day!  Students have a half-day on Friday.  I am looking forward to next week's festivities and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Dina Knight

Dear Parents and Families,
Happy Friday!  I am sure most of you are aware of the chance of frozen precipitation on Sunday. I am crossing my fingers hard that we will be in school on Monday, and will not miss another day of school due to weather. December 21st is now a half-day school day, and once we complete that day, we are officially caught up from the days missed due to the hurricane.  I am not a fan of adding another day to make up, so I am going to think positively, and say that I will see all my students back on Monday morning!  Have a great weekend, stay warm!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Dina Knight
