Recess:  Indoor Style!

Dear Parents and Families, 

Thank you all so much for meeting with me for parent teacher conferences this week. Your support is overwhelming and together your student is going to benefit from our collaborative teamwork!  In-spite of the rain we had a  wonderful day and ended our week with game time on our chrome books for indoor recess. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to another great week at Lake Carolina Upper Campus!

Weekly Update for September 21st-25th, 2015

Dear Parents and Families,

The students and I have both been enjoying the cooler temperatures this week and I hope you all have as well. We had a great week in classroom 115.  The students are working so hard and we all are starting to find our pace in 3rd grade. Looking ahead to next week, I will have conferences on Thursday, February 24th. Thank you to those who have already signed up.  To those who have not signed up yet I still have space available.  If the times available do not work please don't hesitate to contact me for alternate times. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to another great week here at the Upper Campus!

Weekly Update for September 14th-18th, 2015

Good Afternoon Parents and Families,

We had a wonderful week and have been very productive. MAP testing is complete and I will share the results at Conferences that will be coming up on September 24th. I will be using volunteer spot to schedule conferences online and you will receive an email shortly with directions on how to sign up. Weekly Update for September 7th-11th, 2015

Dear Parents and Families, 
Today was an exciting day! The students found out their house assignments and we had a blast during the announcement celebration. It was a great way to end our week! As we look ahead to next week I just have one announcement. I wanted to let you all know that we will begin our MAP testing next week. Your child will take an assessment called Measures of Academic Progress (MAP). We give the students the MAP assessment to determine your student's instructional level and to measure academic growth throughout the year in the areas of Math and Reading. Your student will take the assessment on their chromebooks. Lake Carolina Upper Campus is truly excited to continue to focus on every student's academic growth and achievement. My class will take the Reading portion of the test on Wednesday at 8:30 and the Math portion on Friday at 8:30 as well. Please make sure your child gets plenty of sleep and eats a good breakfast so they are well prepared to take their assessments. I hope you all have a wonderful long weekend and I look forward to another great week here at Lake Carolina Upper Campus!

Towel Needed

Dear Parents and Families,
I wanted to let you know that your student is encouraged to bring in a small towel to sit on for our Friday concert. The Army Band is coming to the Upper campus to hold an outdoor concert. Students may sit on their towels and enjoy this wonderful opportunity!
